This is something I’m finally starting to explore. In the processing of my grief at not having become a mother, I’m asking myself what else I can do to take advantage of my life and the fact that, to some extent, I CAN do whatever I want. It’s no wonder it took me so long to get here. The shaming is overwhelming. But you’re absolutely right. It’s our life — the only one we’ve got! We should do with it what works for us.
