This touched me so deeply. I could not help but cry. Partly because your point was beautifully stated (and now that little soul will live on in my memory, too), but also because of my sweet nephew who was also born with serious heart problems but who is miraculously beating the odds and is about to turn 2.

Every little life matters. Each one is so important and valuable. They all impact the world in ways I am sure we cannot imagine.
