This was probably exactly what I needed to hear at this juncture in my life. LOL. I've been standing on the precipice of getting on some dating sites and I REALLY DON'T WANT TO. I hate dating. I loathe it. Throw me 1-2 years into a relationship, and I'm a happy camper. But dating. God, please, no.

I don't want to go through all the "impression management" - my own or someone else's.

I've been exploring so many way to be "contrary" in this culture - so many of our practices don't work, anyways. And this is a prime example. Dating doesn't work. Dating is for sex, not relationships. It's a damn miracle anyone makes it that far the way we do things. :)

But this feels so perfectly contrarian to me. Date later. I love that.
