To be honest, as great as this all feels, I also have been feeling overwhelming grief over the things I was taught were normal, over the ways my time has been wasted, over the ways I’ve been unable to pursue what I want because I’ve been kept so distracted by all this bullshit. It’s hard to look back on all the decades lost to trying to please the system.
