Yeah, this is a complicated issue. This wasn’t written with my parents in mind, though, but with SOCIETY in mind. I learned more positive, helpful lessons from my mother than from anyone else — though again, she was limited to what she knew. My teachers, the media, society…all these lessons, I primarily learned from them. And yes, it was all with the intent to control me.
