Yes! I am so horrified that we have conditioned men to treat women’s bodies as a receptacle for their trauma — and that we teach women to take on that role, too. I don’t even have words for how damaging and demeaning it is. And sex absolutely is an energetic exchange — and if men are taught to offload their pain into our bodies, that’s one of the many negative consequences sex has for women that we must guard ourselves against.
