Yes, I have the same fears. I keep thinking about it — how it began — and wondering if it was less romantic than our cultural propaganda would have us belief. That we weren’t necessarily open-minded rebels who wanted to change the world by doing something totally different, but really, if you go back just a little further, religious zealots who were trying to create a place where their zealotry was the norm, the standard. I think that’s closer to the truth of our history, which explains a lot.

Thanks for the compliments. I took a risk with the photos — they are not against Medium rules for curation the way I did them, but I knew it might still not be curated (just like breastfeeding photos on Instagram are permitted but are often removed, anyways). Sure enough, this one did not get curated and will disappear in the Medium feed by tomorrow. Very frustrating.
