Yes, I think ultimately, dishonesty and cheating that could all have been avoided with a simple conversation show a lack of respect and take away a partner’s dignity, and as such, I can’t vote for that. I’d rather have a partner propose an open marriage than break our relationship agreement and lie to my face about it. You’re absolutely right that this is super complicated and no one will get out unscathed. But perhaps at least it can be done with that respect and dignity for all.
