Yes, my tiny portfolio took a huge hit, and while what I have saved will barely get me through a year in this inflation-addled economy, it's still something I've relied on having in emergencies. I'm coming to realize, however, that just a few climate-related disasters along with an agricultural crisis and that money will likely get wiped out in one fell swoop. I don't see how we can have faith in institutions that aren't evolving...but I also don't know what to put my faith in!
