You might laugh at this but Sister Wives was my first true introduction to plural marriage and just the concept of having multiple partners and for some reason, it helped to have that as an introduction. In a way, it’s such a gentle introduction to the subject that is so weirdly demonized in our culture, it gave me an easy way to access, which then got me thinking about it, which then opened my mind a great deal.

Of course, that was a long time ago and I’ve gotten much further since then, but yeah…we still have a long way to go with media portrayal around this subject.
