You nailed it, as always. I saw this in schools again and again - people railing against religious persecution because our districts wouldn't allow prayer to be included in the schedule, after the pledge. "We have the religious freedom to create prayer time in schools!" they'd say. But they did not seem to understand the fundamental hypocrisy in that - that it was forcing NON-Christians to engage in Christian worship, which is NOT freedom of religion.
