My ex was a cuddler, which was nice - meaning all cuddling didn't lead to sex - but outside of cuddling or instigating sex, he barely touched me during the second half of our relationship. He never helped around the house. He always wanted to have sex when his parents or my brother were in the next room... When I instigated sex and he didn't want it, he'd respond in annoyance and shut it down. When I didn't want to have sex and very, very gently asked him for a rain check, he would get so angry at me.

Our culture needs to stop perpetuating the normalcy of this kind of relationship or the thinking demonstrated by your first commentor that women are just grasping bitches looking to secure babies, a house (that apparently he built? hmmm...), and money because, yes, that solves ALL our problems.
