I left teaching a few years ago — in part because of this. In my town, people are VERY attached to their guns and there’s definitely a push to get teachers to start carrying. I just can’t be a part of that. (There were other factors, too, though.)

Anyways…thank you for putting that beautiful article out there. Everyone needs to see this. I feel like we teachers are the ones talking about it and the rest of the world is sweeping it under the rug. Very frustrating.
