Your first sentence is putting words in my mouth. The second is false. Sex isn’t a need, not in the way you are talking about. Sex is a desire. Sex is a want. Yes, it’s important to care about nurturing a spouse, but when it comes to people’s bodies, it’s 100% up to them how they choose to use them.

Having sex with a partner when they do not want to in order to make that partner happy is guaranteed to eat away at their soul and eventually end the marriage. (This is a major reason why people end up with dead bedrooms. Sexual obligation kills both spirit and libido.)
